2. The essentials at a glance
- This website does not use any analytics, tracking or advertising tools.
- Without your consent, only technically necessary cookies are stored (language selection, your cookie choice).
- External content (Google reviews) is only loaded after you have consented.
- Fonts are loaded from my own server, not from Google.
- I only use the data you send me via the contact form or by email to answer your enquiry and, where applicable, to carry out the training.
3. Hosting and server log files
This website is hosted by STRATO GmbH, Otto-Ostrowski-Straße 7, 10249 Berlin, Germany. A data processing agreement pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR has been concluded with STRATO.
When you visit the website, the server automatically processes information transmitted by your browser (server log files): IP address, date and time, requested page, referrer URL, browser type and version, operating system. This is technically necessary to deliver the website and to ensure its security. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR (legitimate interest in a secure and stable website). STRATO automatically deletes or anonymises the log files after a short period.
The connection to the website is encrypted via TLS (https).
The cookie banner is operated with the WordPress plugin “Real Cookie Banner” by devowl.io GmbH. It runs entirely on my server; your choice is stored with a pseudonymous ID and without your IP address in order to be able to prove consent (Art. 6 (1) (c) GDPR in conjunction with Art. 7 (1) GDPR).
4. Contacting me (contact form, email, phone)
If you write to me via the contact form, I process the information you enter (subject, name, email address, phone number, number, breed and age of your dogs, preferred start date, message) in order to answer your enquiry and prepare the training. The same applies if you contact me by email or phone.
The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR if your enquiry relates to training or a contract, and otherwise Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR (legitimate interest in answering enquiries).
The form is operated with the WordPress plugin “Contact Form 7”; your message is forwarded to me by email and is not stored permanently in the website database. To protect against spam, the form contains a field that is invisible to humans (“honeypot”); no additional data is collected and no external services are involved.
I delete your enquiry once it has been dealt with, unless statutory retention obligations apply. If a contract is concluded, I keep invoices and related documents for the periods required by tax law (generally 8 years for accounting records, 6 years for business correspondence).
Emails to me are received in, and sent from, an email account at STRATO (see section 3); this also applies to messages from the contact form.

These cookies are technically necessary to display the website in your selected language and to respect your cookie choice (Section 25 (2) no. 2 TDDDG, Art. 6 (1) (c) and (f) GDPR). No consent is required for them.
Via the cookie banner you can decide whether external content (section 7) may be loaded. You can change your decision at any time via the “Cookie settings” link at the bottom of every page.
6. Fonts
The fonts used on this website are loaded locally from my server. No connection is made to servers of Google or other font providers.
7. Google reviews (Trustindex)
On some pages I display reviews from my Google Business Profile using the plugin “Widgets for Google Reviews” by Trustindex Ltd., Nyári Pál utca 15, 2724 Újlengyel, Hungary. When the widget is loaded, scripts, fonts and graphics are loaded from Trustindex servers (cdn.trustindex.io) and reviewers’ profile pictures from servers of Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland (lh3.googleusercontent.com). In the process, your IP address and technical browser data are transmitted to these providers. A transfer to the USA cannot be ruled out in the case of Google; Google is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.
The widget is only loaded if you have given your consent beforehand (Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR, Section 25 (1) TDDDG). You can withdraw your consent at any time via the “Cookie settings” link at the bottom of every page.

8. Links to social networks
This website contains a simple link to my Instagram profile. It is an ordinary link, not embedded content: data is only transmitted when you click the link and visit Instagram. Instagram’s privacy policy (Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd.) applies there.
9. Communication via WhatsApp
If you wish, you can also communicate with me via WhatsApp, e.g. to arrange appointments or send photos and videos of your dog. The provider is WhatsApp Ireland Limited, 4 Grand Canal Square, Grand Canal Harbour, Dublin 2, Ireland. WhatsApp processes, among other things, your phone number, communication metadata (e.g. time, sender, recipient) and device data; the content is end-to-end encrypted. A transfer of metadata to the parent company Meta Platforms Inc. in the USA cannot be ruled out; Meta is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.
Communication via WhatsApp is voluntary. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR insofar as it concerns the preparation or performance of training, and otherwise Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR (your decision to write to me via WhatsApp). You can always reach me by email or phone instead. I delete chats once they are no longer needed for our work together.

10. Website security
To protect against attacks, the website stores the IP addresses of failed login attempts to the administration area (plugin “Limit Login Attempts Reloaded”, locally without a cloud service) for the duration of the lockout and regularly deletes these entries afterwards. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR.
Backups of the website (including contact form settings, but not form messages) are created on STRATO’s server using the plugin “UpdraftPlus” and additionally stored locally by the website administrator.
11. Your rights
You have the right to
- access the data I hold about you (Art. 15 GDPR),
- rectification of inaccurate data (Art. 16 GDPR),
- erasure (Art. 17 GDPR) and restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR),
- data portability (Art. 20 GDPR),
- withdraw any consent given, with effect for the future (Art. 7 (3) GDPR).
Right to object (Art. 21 GDPR): Where I process data on the basis of Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR, you may object at any time on grounds relating to your particular situation.
An informal message to hello@gina.berlin is sufficient for all of this.
